The Amazon River Dolphin has a long nose that they use for digging, but with climate change, they will adapt to longer noses because the only thing they use their long noses for is digging in the mud for small insects to eat. The longer noses will help them dig deeper in the mud because climate change will make the mud dry up, so the insects will have to move deeper in the ground. The other thing the Amazon river dolphin will adapt to is gills. I think they will adapt to gills because climate change will mean more forest fires, and it would be healthier to breathe underwater rather than particle pollution in the air. The time frame for both of these adaptations is at least fifty to eighty million years. The adaptation would have to start with little steps like breathing underwater for longer amounts of time.
