The animal I chose is a snake. The present-day rainforest snake has an average length of about 1 meter. It has green scales that provide camouflage for hunting or hiding from predators, such as tigers or panthers. The scales are also angled to grip branches, which helps the snake reach bird nests for a snack.
After experiencing global warming, the rainforest snake has evolved into a savanna snake, which now has different characteristics due to its new environment. The average length of the snake is now about 30 feet. It has a more sandy color for better camouflage. Its scales have become tougher to protect the snake from being bitten by predators, like lions. Behaviorally, the snake has become much more aggressive and protective.
