Ocelots/Leopdus pardalis is a large wild cat that lives in Texas and South America. However, it is mainly in South America. They have spots and lines for easier camouflaging. They also have sharp claws and teeth for catching their prey. They have a film on their eyes to help see in the dark. They eat small animals, such as rodents and rabbits. Their predators include the puma and the jaguar. They are nocturnal and like to hunt alone. It is a carnivore and is about 29 inches.
In the future, South America is probably going to be a savannah. The ocelot might become a more sandy color to camouflage into the savanna and get even sharper claws and teeth. They might even become smaller, so they can move quicker. They may become one of the highest on the food chain. They might start hunting reptiles, like snakes. Ocelots rock!
