Motmot

Right now motmots live in houses in the ground. motmots eat some fruits, small reptiles and insects such as crickets, mealworms, waxworms and earthworms. Motmots are found in most south america rainforests. They dig their own houses in the ground. They like to live near water for drinking and bathing. Motmots live up to 20 years old. They are 38 to 43 centimeters in length. They weigh 77 to 175 grams. Motmots look like they have a blue crown on their head. On rainforest alliance states, “their call doubles as a hoot, similar to that of an owl’s. In the future I think motmots will have sharp beaks to defend themselves and scale like feathers to protect themselves against predators. Also I think they will start hunting other birds to get food. This will happen because they will need to defend themselves against larger animals.
