Elegant Trogons are omnivorous, eating insects and fruit. Elegant Trogons nest holes in trees. They can’t make these holes themselves so they look for holes made by other birds. The elegant trogon in the future will be a scavenger that steals nests from other birds and will eat any eggs they can find to make up for the lack of newtrance in the savanna. One adaptation the elegant trogen has had is it now has a blue under belly and tanish feathers on its wings so it can fly without being targeted by other birds while flying. This bird's main problem is nesting, the reason why is because the grass is too strongly rooted to be pulled up from the ground so it has to find a tree because predators will find its blue eggs easily.
