Within the rainforest, these vibrant and large toucans would fly about, most likely searching for fruits to eat. These animals in the present day can be seen in many different places, and especially in the Amazon Rainforest. The avians are well known for their large beaks and oddly loveable appearance. But, as time goes on, climate change will get worse… These birds will have to adapt to their new environment. Eventually, all the bodies of water in the Amazon will dry up, leaving only a desert behind. The toucans will have to adapt to this change, of course. They would have serrated beaks for consuming insects, as shrubs and fruits are very scarce in this new land. White-grey feathers provide protection from heat, partially, as it reflects more light. Previously feathered spots will have no feathers in important areas, such as the nostrils, to respirate easily or to cool down.
