The Hoatzin is a chicken-sized bird that lives in the Amazon of South America. The Hoatzin lives near swamps, freshwater marshes, gallery forest, and the banks of rivers, lakes, and streams. The Hoatzin has blue around its eyes and red eyes for creating contrast for the subdued tones of the rest of the body. The Hoatzin has cream, and chestnut brown, feathers to help it blend in with its habitat.
Because of global warming and the water levels rising, the Hoatzin would become an omnivore because of the water level. There won't be much land for the plants but they will be able to eat the leaves. The Hoatzin’s stomach would become blue to blend in with the sky, and it would be able to fly for longer periods of time. It would also need a curved beak to deliver a fairly painful to protect themselves and to catch fish.
