The Okapi is an animal that lives in the rainforest of Africa. It eats mostly plants such as leaves, fruits, and grasses. A natural predator of the
Okapi is the leopard. They defend themselves by using their strong legs to kick their enemies.
They also have the ability to camouflage themselves in the shadows due to their dark fur. I believe in the future that the rainforest will become more like savannas in the future, and here is what might happen to the Okapi as well. Due to how hot the Savannah can get, I think that the Okapi will lose its thick dark fur for a more light and loose fur to blend in with the new background. I also think that they might have to run from predators often, hence the need for them to have bigger, stronger legs.
