African Monkeys

Monkeys currently live in rainforests in Asia, Africa,Central and South America, or the Savannas of Africa. Different species of monkeys like cold and some like the warm. During the winter most monkeys sun themselves or go in a huddle to keep warm. These monkeys have long tails so when they are in rainforests they can wrap their tails around the branches to get around. It's like having an extra hand. They use grooming to build stronger relationships. Monkeys' life spans are from 21 to 36 years. Monkeys are 12-36 months when they leave their mother. Monkeys are the closest animal to humans. Old world monkeys fill their cheeks with food to later eat when they feel they are safe. There are over 264 species of monkeys. Like a human, all monkeys have a unique fingerprint.
