A bushmaster snake today has camouflage that blends with leaves. It has infrared pits in between its eyes that are used to see and smell prey. Its diet consists of small rodents, rabbits, and small birds. The bushmaster snake bites so fast and injects so much venom that the animal/human will die without treatment. It lives in South America and warmer climates.
I predict the bushmaster's venom gets stronger because of gene duplication followed by natural selection. The adaptations produced by this process include venom becoming more toxic and more will come out. Since it is producing more poison glands, it learns to spit venom by Convergent evolution which gives it that ability. The snake's skin will become more hydrophobic because the ground is dirty with pathogens which helps it float easier, and keep itself clean.
