Living mainly in wetlands, savannahs, and rainforests of South America, these big rodents enjoy hanging out in groups near rivers and lakes. Their current homes are perfect for them since they offer lots of grass and plants to munch on, plus the water they need to stay cool and safe from predators. Some other things might not stay the same the same forever. Climate change is quite a big deal, and it's likely to change things up a bit for Capy Baras. Picture this, temperatures keep rising and rainfall changes. We could see droughts that dry up lovely rivers and lakes they rely on. Their food would change too. They would have to rely on plants with less water. These are all Capy Bara's future predictions.
