Currently, Bornean Orangutans (Pongo Pygmaeus) are very solitary creatures. They separate from their mothers at around six months old, and go to live on their own. They are also currently non-confrontational creatures. This means that they’re not as combative against predators. Orangutans have a type of locomotion called quadrumanous scrambling. They have larger proportions for their locomotion. They also eat fruit from the trees, leaves, bark, and roots. In the future, Bornean Orangutans will start to become more combative against predators. This is because they will adapt to live in groups of five to six to survive. The males will continue to have flanges for sound, throat sacks, and they’ll stand guard when eating. Their locomotion will stay the same because they will adapt to live in palm trees. Their diet contains fruit from palm trees, and they’ll adapt to be a lighter green to camouflage into the palm trees.
