A Newt's Evolution

As the planet warms and climates change drastically, animals have to evolve and physically adapt to the new environment. I have chosen a newt as my animal. they are a rainforest amphibian that rely on certain aspects of the changing environment. Their bodies will need to develop characteristics, including developing a shorter tail to move more freely, as it will almost always be traveling by land. Along with this, stronger legs and toes will also be very helpful for transportation. Newts are used to a moist environment to live in because of their sensitive toes, so they will need rougher skin to survive. Newts may end up shrinking in size due to rising temperatures. Finally, newts may end up needing to completely change their main diet to insects.
