The animal that I chose is a brown-throated three-toed sloth. These sloths live in a tropical habitat with high temperatures and humid weather. They live high above the ground in tall trees filled with leaves to eat. However, the impacts of climate change may cause these peaceful conditions to change negatively. Sloths in future years will likely have to cope with extremely high temperatures due to global warming. Also, trees will become scarce due to droughts and changes in rainfall patterns. As a result, sloths will evolve into smaller animals that require less food, making them more mobile. The extremely high temperatures may likely cause sloths to become more active at night rather than the day to stay as far away from the harsh weather conditions as possible.
