Bald Uakari Future Adaptations

The Bald Uakari present environment consists of the Amazon floodplains of the tropical rainforest. The habitat consisted of the várzea which are seasonal lowlands with lots of fruits and thick nuts. Their huge canines assist in breaking open these nuts. Their fur also provides protection from the várzea. The future Bald Uakari environment consists of less biodiversity and habitats will shrink. Seasonal lowlands won’t be as apparent. The habitat will likely experience sparse and fragmented forest, and reduced open lands and increase of bare lands due to deforestation. The adaptations would have to correlate with their habitat, they will have less access to fruits and nuts, which will result in them eating lots more vegetation and insects. Due to the fragmented and sparse rainforest mobility is going to be key in being able to live in different habitats.
