The Petauraus Breviceps, or sugar glider, is a small, flying-squirrel-like creature is found mostly in Papua New Guinea, Australia, and parts of Indonesia. It’s very small and has a gliding membrane, which allows it to glide over 100 feet! They are omnivorous, but their diet consists mostly of tree sap. Future sugar gliders could be affected in a way where, due to deforestation, tree sap becomes scarce and they could have a stronger digestive system to eat various mushrooms, plants, and insects. They might also move to areas with humans to find more food. They might also acquire echolocation to find food. Also, their tails might be able to wrap around trees and other items to hang from. They might have actual wings that can fly, not glide as well.
