African Leopards live in the lush rainforests of the Congo Basin. However, climate change, human activities, and deforestation harm the environment and habitat of the African Leopard. This leads to fewer available places for the African Leopard to live, the death of prey of the African Leopard, and changes in climate that the African Leopard is not used to. Adaptations such as changing its diet, immigrating, and changing where it hunts will allow for the African Leopard to survive. Changing its diet will help it still be able to eat directly in the rainforest, but different prey. Immigration will allow for the leopard to move into areas where rainforests are more similar to its natural habitat, such as temperature. Changing the area where the leopard hunts will allow it to eat the prey it normally does, but in a different habitat.
