Right now, sugar gliders glide through the air and land on trees. Sugar gliders eat tree sap, nectar, and insects. But in the future, if the rain forests turn into deserts, they might have to only eat insects or must get used to eating something else. Now they glide and they have short legs. In the future, I think they will grow wings or longer legs. They might grow wings because they will not have that many trees or there might not be any trees. So, I imagine they will grow wings so they can fly around like birds. They would probably look like bats. I also think they may grow long legs so they can run away from predators. In the future I think they might have longer legs and will not have webbed feet anymore. That’s how I think sugar gliders will adapt to climate change.
