The Panthera Onca, also known as the Jaguar, is native to the Amazon Rainforest in South America. Its current habitat has a very dense nature and vegetation. The habitat often experiences rainfalls, and therefore, is very humid. There are many water sources nearby and different tree species. The Amazon Rainforest, along with other rainforests worldwide, is currently being affected by deforestation and pollution. These changes disturb the habitat of the Panthera Onca.
In the future, these humid rainforests will dry up because of climate change. Trees will be cut down to build cities. The Jaguar will have no other option than to adapt. It will expand its range of diet and hunting because its prey will go extinct. Also, the Jaguar will develop new hunting strategies depending on their surroundings. Finally, the Jaguar will develop the ability to move to different environments and adjust much easier, when needed.
