The Green Vine snake lives in tall trees and has adaptations such as green skin to camouflage and unique features that help them prey on frogs, birds, and lizards. However, in the future, the Temperate Rainforest will lose it’s vegetation due to greenhouse gases that will cause pollution and drought, turning it into an arid desert. In order to adapt, the snake will have brown skin to blend into its new environment. Along with this, due to the rising temperatures, the severe droughts will cause the extinction of frogs as they depend on water, leading for there to be more competition for the snake’s other types of prey. Eventually, the birds and lizards will be completely eaten, which leads to the increase of insects as they will have less predators. In the end, the snakes will become insectivorous, making them more avid hunters and have a more variety of teeth.
