The Exchyros: The Future Okapi

Okapis live in the Congo Forest. They eat fruits, leaves, buds, grass, and fungi. Their lifespan is between 15-20 years. Since the temperature is rising rapidly these last few Centuries, the rainforest climate will change. In that case, they would need to have thinner fur, and need to have a cooling mechanism. But they would also need to be more lazy so they don't get too hot and tired, and if that happens they would need far better reaction times, so they will need stronger amygdalas. They would need to be more intelligent so they know when to move around. Instead of hooves they would need claws and stronger legs, so they could build better homes underground. And after all of this the future Okapi will be named the Exchyros because strong in Greek is ischyros and intelligent in Greek is exypnos, when you mix those up you get Exchyros.
