Leopards are wonderful and intriguing creatures that have some interesting adaptations. They use camouflage to sneak up on prey and have padded paws that help them be quiet so their prey does not hear them. They also have sharp teeth and claws to catch and kill their prey. These adaptations have allowed leopards to survive for over 11 million years! Though as temperatures rise, leopard numbers could shrink. Adaptations, like less spots to help them stay cool, the ability to eat plants and animals, and being smaller so they consume less food and water might allow these creatures to continue to survive for another 11 million years. Currently, leopards live in rainforests in subtropical and tropical regions, savannas, grasslands, deserts, rocky and mountainous terrain. Though as temperatures rise these areas will become warmer and water will be harder to find thus forcing animals to adapt to these harsher conditions.
