Future Black Jaguar

The black jaguar lives in the Amazon Rainforest of South America. It lives in the swampy forest areas and has sharp teeth and claws that make it a fierce predator. In the future, the Amazon rainforest will be drier, with more periods of alternating severe rain storms and drought. The black jaguar will adapt by getting lighter fur and spots of white. This will help it stay cooler in the warmer temperatures. It will also have bigger paws and longer claws to help it climb trees better, which it will need to do more often, especially with lots of rain. These adaptations will help it survive in this new environment.
