The Amazonian Tapir lives in the Amazonian rainforest. They mainly eat shrubs, fruits and grasses. Palm fruits are an important part of their diet , especially during the dry season when there aren't many other types of fruits available. They have three-four toes so they can run very fast short bursts of speed through the rainforest. They use their snout as a snorkel and to get food. They have thick skin so predators can’t bite through. Babes have spots and stripes for camouflage. Future Amazonian Tapirs might have a long snout and long legs for getting food that are hard to get. They might still have thick skin and three to four toes to help run fast and babes might still have spots and stripes for camouflage.
