The current three-toed sloth lives in the tropical rainforest of Central and South America.
The sloth has three extra neck bones. The sloths have roundish heads. Sad-looking eyes, tiny ears, and stubby tails. Their physiological adaptations include facial coloring that makes them look like they are always smiling, and an incredible sluggishness of movement.
I believe that the tropical rainforest will become drier like a desert and many plants that depend on water will die. By adapting, the claws will stay so they would grip the sand, and their ears will get bigger to hear predators. The sloth must change the coat to orange to be camouflaged. Their neck should be longer to reach their food. They will also provide water glands in order to be hydrated and have to improve their speed to escape from predators when caught.
