Gorillas are 4.4 feet tall herbivores who don’t have to hunt. Gorillas generally occur in rainforests which have a high abundance of plants so they have food to eat. The most critical thing endangering gorillas is diseases. A disease that has affected gorillas is the ebola virus (EBOV) with a 98% mortality rate. The ebola virus has reduced the population of gorillas by one third and has affected not just gorillas.
But how do we prevent this? Well a way they can prevent is alike how humans create vaccines. They first have to prevent the virus from being fatal. They can do this by teaching their bodies how to fight ebola. Humans can also help them by giving them vaccines. But without human help they could go extinct in years to come. That is why they can't save themselves but are going to have to depend on humans.
