The blue and yellow macaw lives in the tropical rainforest. It has a blue back with a yellow stomach. It also has a green spot on its forehead and pinkish cheeks. The blue and yellow macaw eats plants, nuts, fruit, berries, and sometimes but rarely bugs. It is endangered because there are about 1 million in captivity today. In the wild there are predators like the happy eagle. One Thousand years later….. The blue and yellow macaw has adapted to its new environment which is a savanna. It has adapted by getting smaller and lighter so it is able to get away from predators. It has also gotten sharper stronger talons and larger eyes to see better. The color has changed from blue and yellow to golden brown and tan. Now the blue and yellow macaw is on a diet of bugs.
