The leaf-tailed gecko is a species of low-land gecko. It lives in tropical rain-forests and eats crickets ants and other small bugs. It’s appearance at first seems to be a dead leaf but you’d be mistaken. It camouflages with its dry leaf looking skin.
Hunting: Melting ice-caps will flood the rain-forests. and the leaf-tailed gecko develop a slightly bigger head to fit a special muscle that will help shoot its tongue out really fast to catch the insects. This muscle is the same one that chameleons use to catch their prey.
Camouflage: In the future the rain-forests will probably be more like a swamp.Because of that it’s dry leaf camouflage won’t blend in that much. It will probably get a light green colored skin and more noticeable bumps on it’s skin so that it looks like algae. It will also adapt a falter less round looking top half.
