The 3-banded armadillo lives in South America. This animal has thick bony plates covered with tough scales. This helps protect itself from predators, like jaguars and maned wolves. This animal can also roll itself into a ball which makes it almost impenetrable. The armadillo also feeds on termites as well as other bugs and insects. Due to climate change, the rainforest it used to live in will turn into a savannah. The 3-banded armadillo will have to store water in it's scales to not get thirsty or dehydrated and to survive. This animal will also have to be more aware due to its poor eyesight and will change its brownish color to a more tannish color to blend in more with its new environment. This animal eats insects like termites so it doesn't have to change its diet. With these new adaptations the 3-banded armadillo will survive.
