The pit viper is a snake with moveable fangs. They eat frogs, birds, and other small mammals. It also has heat-sensitive pit organs between each eye, to help it aim accurately. The pit viper lives in sub tropical rainforests and Chocoan rainforests. Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures. They can be natural or be because of human activity.
Though the pit viper has a forked tongue now, they might not in 1,000 years. If their habitat ends up under water, they might mutate a blow hole. Or, if the habitat gets dry and turns into a desert, then they might get eye protective barriers to keep the dust out. There might be more predators if trees get cut down and herbivores have to eat meat, so they can use camouflage to survive.
