My art project focuses on a future version of Red Pandas (Ailurus Fulgens), which are currently about the size of a domestic cat but are drawn to be significantly larger. This increase in size could help them compete for food in an environment where plant life and biodiversity may be declining unless effective environmental protections are implemented. The new illustration keeps the Red Panda's semi-retractable claws and features a reduced amount of fur to adapt to global warming, as well as a lighter coat color to combat too much heat absorption from the sun. This design was influenced by Jaguars, sometimes called the kings of the rainforest, because their anatomical features help them survive.
