Toucans have two toes pointing forward and two toes pointing backwards, which helps them stay stable and provides strength for them while they climb up and down trees/branches. They also have big, colorful beaks that help them reach for fruit in trees and keep cool in winter. If it gets hotter or colder, plants might grow/change, which might change the food they eat. If there aren’t enough fruits, Toucans might have to start eating flowers and plants. Their beaks can change to help them eat other food. They might learn to live in areas with fewer trees. If they can eat flowers and insects they’ll have more options when food is scarce. Adapting to new habitats lets them find food and shelter in different areas.
