The Giant River Otter lives in the Amazon, Orinoco, and La Plata rivers. The Otter is mainly dark brown with white/yellow patches on the throat; the color of their fur helps it look like debris in the rivers. They also have webbed feet and huge tails to help them swim and propel themselves. Amazon has been experiencing an increase in farming and lots of logging, mining, and urban development. The otters will start to have a lighter fur color to blend in with the new dry living area since the rivers are getting more and more polluted. They will also develop bigger and longer limbs to help them dig for their new food source, like the Eastern fence lizard or Bipes. Lastly, they will have a big diet change, having their new diet consisting of reptiles and amphibians rather than fish.
