The ring-tailed lemur lives in Madagascar and nearby areas. They can also be found in North Carolina. Ring-tailed lemurs live in the rainforest and spend most of their time on the forest floor. They do climb but mostly stay in the tree canopy. The climate is hot and dry, with a dry and wet season and little rain during the dry season. In the future, their habitat will become drier with more storms due to climate change. Based on the information I found, the temperature is higher, and the dry season is longer. I think lemur’s behavior will change pretty quickly but their physical body may not be able to fully adapt for many years. However, if they could, they might become lighter to reflect heat, smaller due to changes in their diet, and have longer limbs to climb better and search for food in their new home.
