The Red Eyed Tree frog, which lives in lowland tropical rainforests like the Amazon, is a bright green-bodied frog with big red eyes and orange feet. These features help them survive in their current environment with bright colorful plants and flowers. Still, with the devastating effects of global warming and water levels, these features may end up being detrimental to the frog's survival. With water levels rising, in rivers and other bodies of water in rainforests, it could add a more underwater aspect to the frog's livelihood and could remove some of the low to the ground plants and other hiding spots for the frog. With my envisioning of the Amazon rainforest’s red eyed tree frog with a darker green body the removal of the bright orange feet/toes it could blend in easily with the murkier waters that would have recently risen into the frog's usual habitat.
