The Ring-tailed Lemur is a species of lemur found in southwestern Madagascar. The Ring-tailed Lemur lives in arid areas like forests and rainforests. The Ring-tailed Lemur is especially well adapted for life in the trees. The Ring-tailed Lemur has fingers well adapted for grasping and semi-opposable thumbs. Their tails are long for a reason too, measuring at 23.6 inches, their tails are used for balancing on the tree tops. In the future however, the Ring-tailed lemur's habitat will go from a lush green rainforest, to a hot, arid desert. To survive from this massive change, the Ring-tailed lemur will go under extreme change. Its iconic rings will all disappear and will turn from gray to a sandy brown color for camouflage in the desert. In order to move around a lot and hide from predators, their bodies will grow toned and muscular, resulting in shorter tails and height.
