The Amazon Kingfisher is a species that usually lives near Northern Mexico all the way to Central Argentina. The Amazon Kingfisher is well adapted for aerodynamics. The bird has a pointed bill and head to lessen the resistance when diving. In the future however, the Amazon Kingfisher’s habitat will go through massive changes from a lush green rainforest to a barren sandy desert. With these new changes in the habitat, the Amazon Kingfisher will also go through massive change. Instead of its bronze green color it will be a more brownish and sandy color for better camouflage. It would also grow a more thick beak and body as it can’t dive anymore with no more fish. It will also grow larger wings for flying longer distances when finding food. Its diet will change drastically too. Its diet will go from fish to bugs and small critters.
