The present capybara looks like a heavy, barrel-shaped body, shorter in the front than the back. Their brown fur is coarse and sparse enough to reveal the grey skin beneath it. The present Capybara’s habitat is dense vegetation around rivers, lakes, ponds, marshes and swamps. The present capybara has webbed feet to help it swim, and capybaras also have dense fur. Present day Capybara’s can also hold their breath for 5 minutes or less, which is really helpful when predators are around. When the hot climate change takes place, the capybara will have a hump on its back as well as bigger ears. And its habitat will be like a dry savanna biome. And they will also develop sweat glands so the capybara can stay cool.
