Toucan

For my animal, I chose the toucan. I chose the toucan for its exotic beak color and opportunity for adaptation. I think in the future, the toucan could have a longer beak for reaching higher berries in trees. It could also have a longer wingspan for flying higher and evading predators. It could have a greener beak to blend in with the lush greenery of the amazon. An assortment of colored feathers for camouflaging with the fruits it eats, or maybe a lighter shade of feathers altogether for shunning the sun off of its back. Larger wings would be efficient too, so it wouldn’t need to flap its wings as much and earn the ability to glide smoothly. With these traits combined with the traits the toucan already has, including phenomenal eyesight and its long beak, the toucan could become a dominant species in the future.
