Amasloths, Masters of Laziness

Sloths are slow-moving mammals native to the Amazon Rainforest. Their long claws help them hang from trees, while camouflage allows them to blend into the dense canopy. A slow metabolism enables them to survive on a low-energy diet of leaves. Strong limbs keep them safe in the treetops, away from predators. However, climate change and deforestation may threaten their habitat, reducing tree cover and increasing temperatures. In the future, sloths may evolve shorter fur to stay cool, stronger limbs to climb remaining trees, and a more varied diet to adapt to a changing rainforest. These adaptations will help them survive in a hotter, shrinking environment with fewer food sources.
