This helps the red panda keep cool during warm, humid nights and days. This red panda also has longer claws, which helps with climbing in the trees. The Red Pandas diet is mostly bamboo, but in the heat, the bamboo might harden and dry. The future red panda has sharper teeth and claws then the present red panda to help cut through the dry stalks.
