The Cuniculus Paca weighs from 11 to 29 pounds. It is found from eastern Mexico to northern Argentina and to northern Uruguay living in tropical rainforests. It has a body length from 24 to 31 inches. The paca’s upperparts are dark brown or chestnut, with three or four lines of large white spots extending from head to rump on each side of the body. Since the Cuniculus Paca habitats are being destroyed they will have to adapt to the land and since they are herbivores they will have to rely on other smaller animals to eat or survive like camels. The Cuniculus Paca is also being hunted by predators so they will have to blend in so their fur will have to change to a sand like color because their habitats are being destroyed. The Cuniculus Paca will have to adapt because if it doesn’t it will decrease in population.
