Poison dart frogs are small, vibrant, frogs that are located in the floor of rainforests. Specifically, their habitat is under logs, rocks, and leaves. The frogs’ toxicity comes from their food like ants. The bright colors inform animals that the frogs are poisonous. In the future, due to global warming, less trees will grow, and the environment will be dry, therefore all life forms will decrease. Due to this the poison dart frogs will have less food, making them lose their poison and also making the frogs smaller. Since food is scarce, they will probably develop longer limbs, better eyes, and a longer tongue so it is easier to find food. They may also develop claws to grip onto tree bark and rocks in their future dry environment. They will also go from being vibrant in color, to blending in with the environment, so they can camouflage and survive longer.
