Panther in a Changing World

In the first illustration, a black panther thrives in a dense tropical rainforest, camouflaged in the shadows as it hunts. The lush greenery provides cover, and the panther's sleek black coat helps it blend into the dimly lit jungle. In the second illustration, thousands of years into the future, climate change has drastically altered the landscape. The once-thriving rainforest has transformed into a dry savanna with cracked earth and sparse trees. To adapt, the panther has developed patches of lighter, heat-resistant fur to regulate body temperature and avoid overheating. Its once-solid black coat has evolved into a more mottled pattern, aiding in camouflage against the sunlit grasslands.
