The Oncilla, (Leopardus Tigrinus) lives in the Amazon of South America. It is also known as the Northern or Southern Tiger Cat. Oncillas are great swimmers and good at hiding. When they hide they wait for their prey, then pounce. They also have very sharp claws. Some oncillas are nocturnal.Nocturnal animales sleep at day and hunt at night but some are active at daylight. Daylight animals are exact opposite. In the future, the Amazon will probably turn into a savannah. The oncilla will probably need to adapt to daylight. Since they are good at hiding and jumping, their home would be in the trees. There are a little bit of trees left. They also have very dull claws. The claws will need to get sharper to get the prey. These adaptions will help the oncilla survive.
