Because of climate change and the melting of polar glaciers, sea levels are bound to rise, which means that the Amazon River has a likely chance of flooding. This would lead to tidal waves, waves with the power to wipe out entire communities, occurring much more often in the river, which means that most of the creatures in the river, including the dolphins, are in danger. This is why I have come up with three adaptations that would benefit the dolphin: larger fins so it can control itself better in the water, pinker skin (which is a direct result of better blood flow), and a thinner and sleeker body so water resistance isn't as much of a problem in times of very high tides. These adjustments can make the dolphin much safer in its now-flooded underwater environment.
