Toucans are birds that have a very colorful bill/beak. They are frugivores/ animals that eat mostly fruits. They use their long beaks for eating tough fruit skins. They have long, curved beaks to catch prey. (Yes, they are part carnivores). The toucan eats fruits, insects, eggs, reptiles, and sometimes even small animals! Females lay about 4-5 eggs.
The future toucan is different... First, their bill is a darker color for camouflage. On their back there is a small hump to save water as their habitat is dry. The toucan has a sharper bill because it has become a carnivore since the fruits rotted away a long time ago. Female toucans give birth to 1-2 eggs because they don't get enough energy from their food. They lastly have sharper and longer tail feathers for flight speed. The toucan has changed due to habitat changes.
