The binturogs currently live in the rainforests of southeast Asia. The binturong is heavy with short legs and a thick black coat. Binturongs are omnivorous, feeding on small mammals, birds, and fish. Binturongs have tails that are almost as long as their bodies. They use their tails for communicating and climbing. Due to climate change, the climate will be drier and hotter. The habitat will have fewer trees and not much vegetation. In this situation, adaptations will need to happen for the binturong to stay alive. Since the habitat will be drier, trees will be more dangerous to climb on. The binturong will start moving on foot, meaning the tail will likely be shorter. The binturong will have a thinner and lighter coat to prevent overheating. They will also adapt to longer legs for faster mobility.
