The Green Crested Basilisk lives in the Central American Rainforest. Their skin is green with blue dots. It can run with its hind legs on water because it can run as fast as 7 miles per hour and what helps them do this is that they have little flaps that hold the water just enough to get their legs back in the air before they sink, and when they sink they can be submerged for 10 minutes! The hot savanna will force the green crested basilisk to change. Their skin will turn yellow, brown and orange to blend in. It will be smaller so that it's harder for predators to catch it. It will develop strong front legs to burrow. It will have ruff skin to protect it from the sunlight. It will also have strong hind legs to run from predators. These adaptations will help it survive.
