The Fairy wren is a light brown bird that turns blue in mating season. This helps them to attract mates. The beak is small to pick up tiny insects and seeds. It lives up in the trees of its dense forest habitat. Fairy wren mostly stay in groups for their whole life. This all helps them survive.
The rain forest will dry up due to climate change. The Fairy wren will turn darker brown to blend in with the trees. Its wings will be larger to fly faster and to catch squirrels, who will live in the now dried up rain forest. It will still eat insects, but they will be harder to find because they will also turn brown to blend in. There would be less coverage to hide in but, with these adaptations, the Fairy wren will survive.
